There is a difference between having an optimal workflow that allows you to get into the flow and planning. Universities unfortunately try to make you a planner which is not the final goal, what you should aim for is to become a learner, because it is fun and rewarding, so instead of forcing yourself to do stuff you don't want to do, you should aspire to make your work station as easy to flow in as possible to enter the zone. Become a fucking expert, not a planner.
